Holiday Inn Express Nashville W-I40 by IHG

My stay was WAY more pleasant than it had any business being. The staff is wonderful: the front desk team Ryan and TD (I can’t spell well, but it was the sweet young girl in the morning. She was a delight!) was quick and competent, the security that guards the parking lot was vigilant, and the little ol’ cleaning ladies had kept my room immaculate. Shower was hot and with good water pressure. Beds were comfy! Breakfast: I once stayed at a motel where their “continental breakfast” was a Sunny D and a Honey Bun. Now picture the OPPOSITE of that, and you have this continental breakfast! Hot biscuits and gravy, hot eggs and bacon, and hot potatoes and omelettes. Pancake maker with the fix’ins, fresh fruit, muffins, cereal, and milk kept in a dedicated fridge. Plus coffee and juice. With all this detail, you’d think I could tell you how it TASTED. Alas, I did not sample anything but the cereal and a banana because I was recovering from a late night. But the food all SMELLED delicious!

The location is the only thing I can knock about the hotel, and not even the location itself (which is EXCELLENT, right off the freeway). It’s the literal, physical orientation of the building that gets a 6/10, because you pull into a gas station parking lot to pull into the hotel. Or you can round the corner and turn into the “back” of the hotel? Basically, what I’m trying to say is the hotel doesn’t really have its own dedicated entrance. Which is fine, just odd. Other than that nitpick, I literally have NOTHING to complain about.

The breakfast was good. Liked the lobby area & breakfast area. Staff was friendly & courteous & did everything to accommodate us for the room we reserved & asked for.

The bathroom in my room needs to be updated. Tub was dirty. We had to switch rooms twice b/c we went thru Booking.com & given double beds instead of king size & there was a leak in the 2nd room but the 3rd room was descent.
