Rathbone Mansions New Orleans

The location was great. The staff was very helpful. Nice having coffee in the lobby in the morning.

I didn’t like that you had to call for room service every day. That’s why I like to stay in a hotel versus an Airbnb. I also didn’t like after staying six nights and I asked for a late checkout. They told me it would be an extra $2O. Also, our room didn’t have very much privacy. If the drapes were closed, it was dark and if we had them open, people could see inside.

This hotel is an absolute gem and totally lived up to expectations, situated on the edge of the French Quarter on a wide avenue with other beautiful colonial properties. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms each have their own charming features and the reception area has interesting books and traditional furniture from the 19th century. The complimentary coffee and cereal bars in reception were the best I tasted in all the 16 hotels we stayed in during our 21 day road trip in USA. The outdoor terrace and pool/ hot tub area with deckchairs was very attractive. We could easily find a space to park the car for free on the road outside Rathbone Mansions and it felt very safe walking the 10-15 minutes into Downtown New Orleans. This is a medium-priced hotel and is great value for money. Would highly recommend!

Spacious apartment, great location nearby Frenchmen/Marigny and Tremé, nice pool to chill on hot days.

My apartment was on the bottom floor and in the morning I was often awaken by the cleaning crew chatting loudly.

The staff was friendly, the amenities were well suited, within reasonable walking distance to public transportation and famous landmarks.

We understand it's difficult to maintain a historical building but many things needed repair, the lock to our room didn't engage and the management failed to address the security issue within a reasonable time which violated the innkeeper laws. However, they did compensate us for the incident by refunding one night's stay.
