Hotel MDR Marina del Rey- a DoubleTree by Hilton

Overall, we had a good stay. The location was convenient, and the room was spacious, comfortable and nicely renovated, with two large beds. There were, however, a few things that could be improved. The water pressure in the bathroom was sometimes quite weak, and the air conditioning controls in the room did not seem to work properly. While the room itself was modern and pleasant, the corridors looked rather worn and dated. The housekeeping arrangements were also a little unusual and not very convenient. When the housekeeping staff were working, they seemed to occupy one of the elevators for extended periods, which made it more difficult for guests to move around the hotel.

The weakest part of the stay was definitely breakfast. Compared with hotels we have stayed at in Europe and Asia, the selection was very limited, and unfortunately the coffee was not very good either.

Everything was excellent, but I especially enjoyed the spacious room and extra comfortable bed. The breakfast was tasty and I liked the warm food options plus the different fruit options. The pool was nice and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The bar had very good fish tacos and good coctails. It’s also relatively close to LAX

Location was a bit sketchy

We arrived late in the evening when we went to adjust the air conditioner the carpet was soaking wet which means its been leaking for some time my concern was that mold could be in the room breathing it all night my husband called in the morning to inform them when we checked out we informed them again and was given a free breakfast which was nice although there was hardly any food left in the buffet and waited 20 minutes for coffee as they ran out !
