The staff went out of their way to make our stay as easy and pleasant as possible. The valet service was incredibly fast and Allie went out of her way to get my daughter dinner when Doordash blew it. She even ordered us dinner from the in-house restaurant free of charge--delicious bacon cheeseburgers with fries. I've never been so grateful to someone.

Wonderful historic hotel with a lovely lobby in a central location (8 blocks from Powells). Unique, interesting artwork in common spaces and in our room and a “hidden” library. Updated and surprisingly commodious rooms with comfortable beds and a press pot for coffee.
The resturant was closed for renovation and an auxiliary space was available but only 6-8 pm. The hotel would have felt more welcoming if it provided a list of nearby restaurants and bars as alternatives. Only because we showed up at 7:59 pm were we able to order cocktails.

Nicely decorated
We booked a king bed and got a double. I booked well in advance and find this unacceptable. I should have walked out.
