Red Roof Inn San Dimas - Fairplex

I want to be fair and clarify that I do not blame the property for what happened. I wasn’t aware that Red Roof Inn was pet-friendly, and after my stay I noticed what appeared to be a bite on my buttocks. I can’t say for certain what caused it—it could have been a flea, bedbug, or another small insect. I would simply recommend that management thoroughly inspect and treat the room, particularly for fleas or other pests. Since I booked a king room, which was one of the more expensive options, I did expect a little more attention to cleanliness in that regard. That being said, the rest of my stay was great. The room and bed were exceptionally spacious, the shower was excellent, and the TV was magnificent. I never felt unsafe because of the property or any of the other guests. Overall, I still think this is a great place to stay. This seems like something that could happen at almost any pet-friendly hotel, and aside from that one issue, I was very pleased with my stay and think the property did a great job.

I was in the area for a business conference, so I’m not very familiar with this particular part of San Dimas. I’ve heard great things about San Dimas overall, but I had mixed feelings about the immediate surroundings of the hotel. There are several businesses nearby, including Lowe’s, as well as a Metro Rail station. I noticed a noticeable number of people who appeared to be transient in the surrounding area, along with sheriff’s deputies periodically driving through. Although I did not personally witness any criminal activity, the surroundings initially made me question whether this was the best location for someone simply looking for a quiet, relaxing night. To be clear, once I was inside the property, I felt safe and ultimately had a peaceful night. My concern was more about the atmosphere immediately surrounding the hotel and the uncertainty it created for me as someone unfamiliar with the area. I found myself worrying about things like vehicle break-ins, theft, or other property crime, even though none of those things actually happened to me during my stay. Overall, the hotel itself made me feel secure, but I would have appreciated feeling equally comfortable with the immediate surroundings. For someone unfamiliar with the area, that may be something worth keeping in mind.

The room was very nice with a large TV. It was clean and comfortable

The overall look of the outside of the building needs an upgrade. It looks dirty and dingy. It should match the inside.

because I'm from Altadena it's close to where I can visit my family. It's right off the freeway and it's central located by every restaurant in every store you possibly can eat.

it's kinda starting to get a few little sketchy people in the parking lot but all in all they seem to have secure where they're not really bothering us or no one's bothering your property or cars or anything soi'm

The property is beautiful and has potential, pool needs to be heated because after a certain time the pool gets really cold

My room was located near the back and there were a lot of homeless people walking around the back hiding in the bushes, also the other people in the hotel literally treated the place like an apartcomplex where you hear guest fighting/slamming doors and hanging outside there doors with chairs & guests
