Setting was gorgeous. The history incredible. The Douglas firs and cedars were amazing. The best prime rib in the Northern Dining room.
Rooms small but very clean

Beautiful historic lodge. Good dinner options.
Bathroom was very basic; could be updated for some comforts.

Location. History and architecture of the lodge.

The location was pretty good for exploring the south eastern parts of the park.
WE knew because it was a historic inn that it was going to be expensive. But still the price did not justify the room. The biggest downside was the lack of electrical outlets to charge our devices. Fortunately I always travel with an extension power strip and long USB cords.

"Historic lodge in a great location by the park. Great staff and food and ambience. No elevator but they have a bellhop that took all our luggage up to the 3rd floor for us."
