Cape Colony Inn

Room was very clean and cozy. Breakfast was very nice. The fire pit was a very special treat.

The room was just grand. A small suite with a basic kitchen above the reception desk, it was easy to get to (up stairs) and close to the exit, registration, and street. The bed was in a separate room from the little kitchen bar and fridge, and was very comfortable. I'd go back.

I freely admit I didn't go to breakfast there because I had to catch up on sleep. But I saw the 'breakfast cabinet.' For a person who really enjoys breakfast, the 'free breakfast' was a disappointment. As a vegetarian, when I travel I try to eat eggs for breakfast, preferably an omelette or scrambled. This was more like a 'choose your yogurt from this small collection" breakfast. Maybe there was a breakfast nook that I missed, but if there was, it was well hidden. I think I didn't miss much. Also, it's pretty far from Ptown's main area. Not as far as some hotels, but far enough that you'll get a good walk in. The only shuttle was a municipal-looking bus that passes by once per hour (in mid-October), but at least it was free.

Good location, free parking. Good size of room, comfy beds. Clean.

There is complimentary breakfast, but no breakfast room. You can have your breakfast outside which is a nice idea, but it was cold and damp,. Chairs and table were wer., no pillows were offered so we brought our own blankets. Breakfast consists of coffee, cornflakes and Muffins. No bread, joghurt or eggs. Better have your breakfast in one of the nice cafes or bakery in town

It’s located in the perfect spot ! Within walking distance to downtown ! Rooms were clean .
