Days Inn by Wyndham Erie

We booked this room at the almost very last minute because we didn't want to drive home in the dark. We read the reviews and we know there are renovations going on. We knew they accepted long term stays. We knew the pool was closed. So we felt good about the expectations. Other reviews also warned that breakfast was limited to 1 item only. So. When I say our expectations were exceeded, this is why I rated it as high as I did. Breakfast was actively being restocked all the way until the end. The food was awesome. Yogurt, muffins, donuts poptarts, chex mix, orange juice, and other easy grab and go selections were available. Given the renovations, the options were awesome! The staff understood my daughter's disability needs and got us a room very close to the handicap parking and were very transparent about the doors near us and the remodel work. The staff were quick to help us and other guests. Very professional. The market was easy to use. The televisions had hulu and netflix available while renovations may be impacting the upgrades coming to the furniture and stuff. The staff were all very excited about the remodel being so close to done. The building is older and while waiting for some of the new furniture there were areas that were louder than others, and near the doors leading to the smoking area smoke smell was there, but it was not inside the hotel. The doors were secure, there was no bugs, and everything was clean. We had plenty of supplies- toilet paper, towels, shampoo etc in our rooms. Oh the beds are SUPER COMFY!! Like beyond expectations!!

Renovations are hard on hotels because you have so many people coming and going while you have to make repairs and changes. But really, the hotel was great! Please be kind to staff because you can see the vision and once it's done it will just really be extra awesome I am sure.

Had a nice light breakfast. Being next to the highway it was surprisingly quiet. Comfortable bed.

The room was relatively clean and the price was fair

Please get some bigger tvs, this day and age you can buy a 40 inch TV for like a hundred bucks, there's no reason for there to be a tiny little 24 inch TV in these rooms. Also the refrigerator was subpar

bed was comfy, price was cheap

place was not clean. floor was sticky and gross without shoes. only 1 partial roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. just overall not a clean place. the included breakfast was a bowl of all the same donuts and a tray of hard boiled eggs. again, gross.
