Good area

We were on the bottom floor and heard the top floor walking in there room.

I loved that we had a record player in the room and a huge selection of vinyl records!

Nice room, easy to find. In close proximity to other restaurants. Really cool functional record player. Good choice of albums.

No USB power points.

The innkeeper was really lovely and friendly. The bed was comfortable too.

As soon as you open the door the room smelt musty and a bit like cigarettes (despite the property being smoke free). Realised after a while that the smell was actually coming from the ac. The bathroom was also in pretty poor condition (cracks in tiles, nowhere to hang towels- not even a hand towel). Our room was also right opposite the staff entrance to the diner so we had no view (and the curtains don’t shut fully and left a gap we felt the need to try and cover) and the diner staff talking outside on breaks/in the morning was pretty loud. For one night stay it wasn’t worth trying to change rooms after a tiring day/drive but perhaps our room was one of the worse ones. Even though we booked over 6 months in advance. Wouldn’t recommend based on the room we had and the fact I’ve seen other reviews of people saying the same thing and the issues haven’t been looked into obviously.
