We were pleasantly surprised at how nice everything was, as the reviews online were mixed. We were greeted by friendly staff members each day, our room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was good as well. It was nice to have some good proteins at breakfast and not just the standard, carby continental style breakfast. I especially liked that there was a Culligan water filter downstairs where we could fill up our water bottles each day.
There was not any place to hang bath towels or hand towels in the bathroom. There were no shelves in there either, so we were trying to figure out where to place toiletries and hang our used towels.

The staff is very nice. The breakfast is good. It's close to Craytor lake
The property needs updates. My toilet. Got clogged and they bought me a plunger instead of the staff plunging it.

The location was close to Claytor Lake and easily accessed. I appreciated having a microwave in the room. The room was reasonably quiet. Coffee was available almost all day.
The room was quite bare. I would've liked at least one comfortable sitting chair. With no chairs, no tables and no carpet the room echoed like a cave.
