Suburban Studios Chester I-95

I like the location of the property. Very convenient to where I was trying to go.

The room was a bit run down. I noticed it was an extended stay after checking in so I was ok with what I saw from previously working at a hotel

Price.. but you get what you pay for. Room was clean. The kitchenette was a cute idea. They do need some type of lighting in that area. Great location right off of 95 as we found there were lots of other hotels in the area and a town center right next-door with lots of places to eat and shop. The staff tried their best to rectify the overbooked room situation, so we’re pleased. They were willing to work with us for what it’s worth.

Booking.com overbooked rooms per front desk clerks. It took forty minutes to check in. Initially they told us we could go to the Comfort Inn down the street which had a 3.5 rating, we were not budging. It took two times to find a room as the 2nd one offered someone else was already in. No elevator only stairs and my luggage was heavy. The hallway to the 2nd level rooms smelled awful. I don’t know if it was the carpet or something, but it had a rank smell. We noticed black garbage bags of trash were right across from the room we were staying in, in a small room with no door and that could have been contributed to the smell as the bag was not secured. Not the usual amenities you would expect, but as we had come to find, it’s a motel, not a hotel. No iron no ironing board no hangers in the closet area. We ended up staying because it was for a short period and we felt pretty much safe aside from the backside door was not secured so it looked like anyone could walk in.
