It is clean, not expensive, and close to the porch where we were catching a cruise ship

Many reviews of this motel and others in the area said "sketchy neighborhood", but we did not find that to be the case at all. Not any sketchier than any other part of LA, at least! We felt perfectly comfortable walking around to choose a restaurant at night (and highly recommend Niko's pizzeria/restaurant). The ferry to Catalina and cruise ship terminals were only a short walk away. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

The location in reference to our cruise ship port was perfect. The young man that checked us in was incredibly kind and helpful. The room was a room, kind of threadbare, no frills at all, but we were just staying overnight before our cruise, so it worked for what it was. I didn’t see one bug, and that is always a point of favor in my book!!

The shower was great, nice and spacious, but the toilet was kinda squirrelly. The back of the tank was buffered with what looked to be pool noodles!! It worked fine, though, so…..
