Catalina Island Seacrest Inn

The location is close to Crescent Ave which makes it a short walk to everything. The staff could not have been nicer. They helped with my luggage, let me sit in the office while I waited for my luggage to arrive and answered all my questions. I appreciated the microwave in my room too! I also liked having my own entrance with fewer stairs and the rooftop deck was awesome.

The room was very small and had an odd configuration but it was very charming in its own way and had some nice touches like a small table with outlets on top for charging, a faux fireplace that was cute, blackout curtains and a very large tub. Great pillows too.

This hotel's first floor was built in 1914 and upper floor in 1958. If you have problems climbing stairs it might not be your place. No elevator, and steep stairs to the second and third floors. That said, our stay ended up being great when we were lucky enough to upgrade our Dolphin room (8) to the Retreat (7). It was nicely appointed, and had the longest tub! I could stretch out and relax after a day of walking around Avalon. Best part is the rooftop patio area, where there were more stairs to climb to an even higher level where the penthouse is. Great views up there! And tables where you can sit and drink and eat and watch the golf carts go by. You can even see the Casino building from there. The person manning the office during our stay was Michael and he was super helpful. This was the most reasonable lodging on Catalina, too. We noticed that everything's gone way, way up there. An enjoyable stay.

No elevator (but hey, it's not a huge hotel and it's old). The Dolphin Room is fine if you're a single monk.

This was the cutest little hotel in which we've ever stayed. I highly recommend this place to anyone. It's very close to the pier and restaurants. The rooftop lounge areas were very comfy places to sit outside and enjoy the weather.

There isn't anything we didn't like, however if you have trouble with stairs you should request a lower room.

Location and very friendly staff.

There is basically NO TV. What they provide is a "smart tv" that gives you access to EXTREMELY limited shows, no stations, no ability to watch what is on the Guide. And this is after the frustration of trying to figure out how to work it. I just ended up using my own Smartphone for entertainment.
