The Lodge at Loon Lake

The location on the lake, the wood rooms were authentic Adirondack and smelled incredible.

A new construction, comfortable motel near Loon Lake with easy access to the Adirondacks. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had everything we needed.

There were some details that could have been better: the coffee machine was not cleaned and the value for money is not great, but that is due to location and timing.

The Lodge at Loon Lake is very nicely renovated, has easy access to a public beach and facilities, and comfortable viewing of activity on the lake. Small fridge was especially useful. The staff were very responsive and helpful when we were locked out of our room. They are not on site, but apparently nearby.

Not many nearby dining options and for the best restaurant you must book well in advance. Also, we got locked out of our room because of a flaw in the electronic locking mechanism.

? No breakfast was provided ; nor was a breakfast ever mentioned in the booking, so we not expecting one

We had to ask for styrofoam coffee cups the night we checked in as they had not been supplied in the room for use the next morning. The creamers left in the room must have been outdated as they curdled when added to our coffees. Also the coffee grounds were not replenished for our 2nd night/ morning stay- I had to go to the office before it closed to request another bag of coffee, more creamers, and towels to replace those we ‘d used showering the first morning. ( Usually, housekeeping replaced coffee, creamers, and towels in the room-without having to make special requests and pick them up at the office.
