The historic house had so much charm and character. The back rooms where we stayed were adequate and the staff was very friendly and accomidating.
There was no fridge or microwave in the room, and the hair dryer was seriously outdated and took forever to dry my hair. For the price we paid, I expected a few more basic amenities.

The main building is a historic house with an interesting history. The decor reflects this, with old-fashioned furnishings and so on, at least in the public areas.
While the hotel looks nice from the picture, the rooms are not in the building in the picture but in the very boring and merely okay motel-type building tacked onto the back. That was an unpleasant discovery!
Also -- no staff. Check-in and check-out and pretty much everything done by email. My key was taped to the door for me as I arrived in the early evening. Very odd and impersonal.
