The Otesaga Resort Hotel

Very comfy bed. I slept like a baby!! Very beautiful Hotel. I may be back in summer to enjoy the lake more.

Noise level above us at night was rather loud. Not sure what was going on above room 202. Maybe rearranging furniture but it lasted 2 hours. All good by the time I went to sleep though. Also our meals at the 1909 were not great. Both dishes overcooked and very bland. They comped my dish so that was very appropriate. I get that sometimes it’s a fail and they did the right thing. But the salmon with lentils just didn’t work. It was so bland. Not sure that is what was expected by the chef for that dish. Looked pretty

We checked in to be greeted by Amanda at the reception desk. We were immediately upgraded to room with a view of the lake and offered a discount due to my husbands military service with both the army and air force. We quickly changed and visited the pool which was a beautiful 87 degrees on this splendid October afternoon. We took a quick swim and enjoyed a delicious meal on the patio of the Hawkeye Grill. The service was impeccable and food was excellent, especially your famous chocolate stout cake!

No jacuzzi and the daily phone calls, emails and texts I received to ask about anything I might need while we were visiting. I think one call, text or email was sufficient.

Gorgeous. Well cared for. Great staff that all enjoy working there. Concierge gave excellent thoughts and recommendations.
