Casa Grande Inn

Great location on the edge of a beautiful small town with cute shops and good restaurants. It made a great base location for exploring the area. The inn itself was quiet, clean, felt private, and has a stunning view of the strait. We loved that we had the option of either sitting out on the deck or in our room to enjoy the view and really appreciated that there were two chairs in each space. (Most places seem to only provide one chair.) You have to walk across a street to get to the beach, but the street isn't super busy and there is a great walkway along the shoreline, in addition to the beach itself. The bed was comfortable, the heating worked well, and there were essentials provided for coffee, tea, & wine. We'd definitely stay again if we're in the area.

I understand that this location has a small staff, but it felt a little weird to almost never encounter a real person in the office, although it was open. It was easy to contact someone, though, so not an issue. Another little quirk was the Costco sized bottles of mis-matched bath products. I'm in favor of not using single-use packaging, but I think a wall mounted dispenser, fillable by staff, would be a better option.

The location, just across the road from the beach was ideal. A liquor store and restaurant within a very short walking distance was also handy. We did walk along the beach a couple of km towards the roundabout for breakfast.

Wish we could have had more time there, but we arrived just before 6 and left after breakfast the next day.

Comfortable, clean, great view

The room was nice.

We were told that we should be there between 3 to 5 to check in. And there was a list of things we couldn't do, like dirty dishes we would be charged $30.00 and other things. The thing that got me was that our bed was not made up and we did not new towels although I did put our used ones in the bath tub and we stayed for 2 nights. We had a friend with a room there and she said the same experience. I have travelled a lot and even the smallest and rustic hotels gave us towels & made our beds. I actually request in the hotels we go to not change our sheets everyday but they do make the beds and supply fresh towels.
