Sandwich Inn and Suites

I love this little hotel! Very small and quaint. The grounds are very well maintained and you feel like you are somewhere far away. Pretty flowers, trees and even a group of turkeys on the property milling about. The room was very nice and clean. There was a nice fan mounted on the wall which I liked very much. I felt like the property was very safe.

Location was great for us visiting our son breakfast was nice. Room was simple but nice. Nothing extravagant. Would have liked the room serviced each day towels trash and make bed . Staff was very nice

Trash was not picked up and dirty towels were not taken but I es handed clean towels at the door. Weird

Free breakfast with a variety of different foods.

I asked for a room with a queen size bed. I got two full size beds.

I've stayed here several times before, apparently in the newer rooms near the road, and it was always lovely: clean, modern rooms, nice breakfast room and selections. This time, it was in a section way in the back of the property(28-32); the room appeared to be just as nice as in previous visits.

Upon further examination(in using the facilities), the shower control was completely broken off, so that only the shower head could be used(see photo).The shower curtain rod was so caked with rust that it was flaking off(see photo)...need a PVC one. Additionally, after showering and walking from the bathroom to the bed, our feet were black(!), clearly, the floors have not been mopped in some time. Very disappointing that it appeared to be a lovely room but is clearly not being inspected or maintained on a regular basis.The owners really should be going through every room and checking the facilities. I don't like leaving negative reviews, and would certainly stay here again, but would be sure to request the newer rooms.
