Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Alexandria

I was attending a conference nearby, so I didn't have a chance to experience the breakfast. The location was very convenient, the staff was particularly friendly and the bed was comfortable.

The room was clean and comfortable, but just very plain and seemingly outdated. The bathroom contained one roll of toilet paper and the remaining (literally) empty roll from the previous guests. The elevators and hallways don't appear to be air-conditioned, so it was very warm. I don't think that much could be done to remedy any of this, as I read later that Fairfield Inn is actually billed as a budget hotel. I didn't catch that when researching options online.

The property was very neat and clean

I don’t any complaints our stay was great

First room had nasty bathroom but they quickly got me another room

The person who checked us in was cold. I added a note in with my reservations for both rooms to be on the first floor but one was on the 4th floor with no explanation.

If I couldn’t be accommodated at least explain why. Communication is the key. And the room smelled bad.
