The old elevator was fantastic...the operator filled us in on the history of the elevator and the "castle". She didn't talk much about the "ghost" stories. They've updated the rooms since we were there last...simple but perfectly fitting.
The steps up to the main office...well, there really isn't much one can do about that.

Other then 1 hiccup from staff on the phone, the staff was extremely friendly and would go out of their way to make the guests stay more leisurely or pleasurable for the time there. The fod in the mexican restaurant in the castle was phenomenal! Amazing service both food and bar! They really made this stay perfect!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I didn't like that when walking down the hotel hallways, you could hear what guests were taking about in their rooms due to the settling of the castle. The door ways had gaps in them and you could get what was going on behind closed doors, with no ill intent.

The bed was comfortable. The restaurant seemed lively although we didn't eat there. The sitting room was quaint.
The grounds were awful. There was no screen in our window. The room needed to be painted. The transom was closed and there was no air conditioning.
