Winchester Inn

Lovely property, very close to the OSF, maybe a 7 minute walk. Close to restaurants and other shops downtown. The staff was helpful! The room was huge, with a separate sitting area, the bathroom had a large whirlpool tub and a walk in shower! Breakfast was always delicious and our severs were so friendly!

Some stains on the floors and some of the decorative pillows. But honestly not a huge deal. I would recommend bringing some disposable slippers! The stairs were a little daunting as we were in and out of our room several times a days! But overall very minor issues!

We looked forward to it every morning. The food was always wonderful and something new each day. Service was exceptional. Very informal but wonderfully happy and interesting staff.

Honestly, my wife and I both thought over this question and couldn’t find a thing.

A lovely and well maintained Victorian residence turned hotel. Ou suite was spacious and comfortable. The four poster king sized bed was enormous and needed the step stool to access. We ate at both the Alchemy and the sister restaurant across the street Chateaubriand 36 and had excellent meals at both restaurants with delightful wait staff. The included breakfast provided great choices and even accomodated by GF intolerance. The blueberry muffin I had one morning was especially delicious....I'd love the recipe!

No stopper in the bathroom sink!! The air-conditioning in Alchemy was set too low and quite drafty at times. Parking can be a little tricky as people tend to park their cars for the duration as everything is so accessible. We found a spot out front on the street and left it there until we departed two days later.
