The location is fantastic and Bernay was a real surprise. Busy and bustling with good shops and restaurants. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was adequate.
The room has been recently renovated and the shower was super hot and super good. Not what you would expect from a relatively old hotel.
We booked it because fo the secure parking, but it was a Friday night and the road outside the hotel is shut from 6am - 3pm on a Saturday for the market, so we had to move our car to a public car park not far away. In the end this was fine, but it was not made clean until we had booked a non-cancellable room and were about to arrive, this should have been made clear before we made the booking.

Fine for a one night stay. Parking at the hotel. Very close to shops and restaurants.
Spiral staircase to first floor but there is a small lift.
