Creag Mhor Lodge

We had a lovely stay. The room was comfortable, clean and large with an amazing view. We ate dinner there and it was exceptionally good. It was nice not to have to go out and find somewhere to eat after a busy day of travel. Breakfast was also very good.

Breakfast very good including food available in the evening. Excellent knowledge of whiskey made evenings back at lounge even nicer. Location was very good to visit surrounding areas.

First, we got a flat tire on the way to the hotel - 2 hours out. That would have left us getting to the hotel beyond normal check-in as well as missing any opportunity to eat dinner in the restaurants near Glencoe and Onich. But we were not only greeted warmly by the owners and staff, they made us delicious stew for us and we sampled some of their rare whiskies at their exceptional bar - a really nice accommodation for us. The beds and rooms are comfortable, everything very clean, nice touches in the public areas - plenty of chairs, tables, with large open windows facing the loch outside. Their bar is exceptional - do a flight while there - since they have some nice rare finds you won't see in most bars. And the pours are 35ml, 10 more than is standard. The location is perfect for visiting the Glencoe area, and there's a gas station with sandwiches and other items a five minute walk away if you need to stock up for a day on the trails. Everything was perfect at the Creag Mhor - just the experience we needed to kick off our stay in Scotland. They couldn't have been more welcoming.

Location and customer service in general

The food is very bad, I got the worst chicken curry in my life! I spend 30 minutes just to force myself to eat it. It like frozen food reheated in 4 star lodge!? They are to many strict rule like food at specific time, main door close after specific time and you have to call someone to open it. You can't pay for dinner until the last night.
