Location of the property, the room location in the estate suites

Service was very poor. Promised 3pm check in, told upon arrive the room was still " dirty". Not a good optic. Told to come back yet they would call us. An hour later, now 4pm told not ready, another hour we decided to come back, room "ready" Never got a call. Next AM notice the sheets had a stain, found food crumbs on the floor and under my feet from the floor. Noted to the concierge on the way out. Room then was finally cleaned. That night we were awakened at 1130PM with load music and people loud yelling as they were in the spa pool area immediately below and next to our wing. We paid a premium for this room for our 40th anniversary. We travel extensively all over staying at boutique hotels plus, and this clearly was the most disappointment we have ever had, especially for a place noted for its property and service. I think we were in the shoulder season just before the fall colors, thus they were not fully staffed nor offering the services commensurate for the booking we made in the estate suites building..............so sad this was overall.

The lake scenery

Room 216 had mold at the ceiling in the bathroom. The lamp shade had mold on it. The restaurant was pitiful. Not really enough staff. The pool was cloudy. I paid over $1400 total and this was not worth it. The carpet in the hallway is stained. I wouldn’t be so hard but they are advertising a resort. I expected more.
