Location is great close to the beach, 1 min and your on Megali Ammos beach, thessaloniki taverna (excellent fish soup and staff there!) ,supermarkets, hire scooters, bus stop and short 10min stroll to the town, everything is right there. You don't have to move if you don't want to. Make sure you ask for a room on the top floor and facing the sea side. If you want twin beds you need to request them. You can't drink the water from the taps. Vangelis the host is a lovely guy and he will accommodate your requests. He can also pick you up and drop you off at the airport. overall we had a decent stay here but we never spent much time in our room so it was fine and it fit our budget There are Chinese that offer massages on the beach we never saw them at our beach but saw them at another beach. We really wanted massages one day but couldn't find when we wanted!

There was a lot of dust behind the beds against the wall. I found out pulling the bed out chasing a moth out of our room. Keep the insect door shut! Ours was broken so they got in. Air con wasn't very powerful and it was only a little room. If it had been the height of summer we would have cooked!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Its a short flat walk to the beach (a few steps down onto the beach) where there are numerous tavernas and sunbeds (20-30 Euros per day though!) and a water activities place. There are two small supermarkets on the main road. Its a few minutes walk to the bus stop which has buses every 10 minutes during the day each direction and fewer late at night. It is also possible to walk into town if you fancy more nightlife or shopping, there is a pedestrian route from behind the tavernas going up the hill. The apartment itself had everything we needed. Simple but adequate and comfortable. The stove looked ancient but was functional, there are instructions in the booklet in the drawer. We especially loved sitting on the balcony to eat. And there is a clothes line for drying clothes and towels. There were also a couple of beach parasols available to use to avoid the taverna sunbed costs. Thank you to our hosts! :-)

Its a bit unclear how to check-in when you arrive, there is no reception or main door. Maybe best to let them know in advance what time you will arrive.

The room was looking like a deposit, mattresses deposited under the beds, 2 fridges and one was broken, that made the entrance in the room very narrow. The hygiene of the room was at best questionable, smelled like garbage in the room and like sewage in the bathroom. After asking the host to clean up a bit the smell was gone but the dust on the furniture must have been there since last season. Everything was sticky. In the day of the check out the cleaner knocked on the door starting with 10:30 and lookin verry annoyed afyer the thrid time when we finaly left at 11:30.
