Villa Cardak

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Cardak. The location was one of the biggest advantages: you are only steps away from the heart of Mostar’s Old Town and the famous Old Bridge but at the same time it is surprisingly quiet. Our room (number 1 on the first floor) was spacious and comfortable and we were very happy with it. Check-in was easy and friendly. One practical tip: if like us you arrive by bus with luggage, take a taxi from the bus station for around €7–10. We had not quite realised that it is still about a 20-minute walk and that the final part is over cobblestone streets and across the Old Bridge, which can be quite slippery. For meals, you are really in a great spot, with plenty of cafés and restaurants close by. There is also a supermarket about 100 metres away which is open Monday to Saturday. All in all, we were very happy with our choice. Villa Cardak is comfortable, quiet and perfectly located for exploring Mostar on foot, and we would definitely stay here again.

The only small disappointment was the payment. The booking.com site indicated that card payment was possible but on arrival we were told that we could only pay in cash.
