We liked the proximity of the hotel to the Kenai Fjordland National Park, and the fact that the hotel had a restaurant. Relative to the range of options in Seward, this was the best hotel to stay at in our judgment. The rooms were similar to other rooms we've stayed at other US national parks - somewhat spartan but clean and comfortable. The key thing is that it was convenient for our primary reason for being there -- to tour the national park by boat.

I'm not going to criticize the food as the food was on par with other eating establishments we ate at, which were among the best options available in the locale. The food in Alaska is very expensive and the options not that vast, I surmise because of the long supply lines to get food to Alaska.

The breakfast was great/adequate. The staff friendly and the lodge being out of town is nice and quiet.

Very clean comfortable hotel in Seward.

Location is a short drive into Seward.

The property is beautifully nestled in a natural forest setting, surrounded by tall trees and wonderfully fresh air. It is conveniently located near Exit Glacier and only about a 10–15 minute drive from downtown Seward. We even heard foxes barking around midnight, which made our stay feel even closer to nature! Our morning walk among the tall trees was especially refreshing and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When they learned that we preferred not to use the coffee machine for hot water, they kindly brought us a kettle. Overall, a lovely and relaxing stay surrounded by nature!

We stayed on the upper floor, and carrying heavy luggage upstairs was quite inconvenient. The coffee machine could have been cleaner, and the rooms felt rather dated, with an interior that reminded us of the 1980s. This was especially noticeable from the old TV, electrical outlets, and bathroom fittings. While the natural surroundings were lovely, the rooms could certainly benefit from some modernization and upgrading.
