Red Rock Motel and Dam Motel

Clean , the hotel has character, extra shared kitchen was a bonus, out door area to sit and eat, location convenient to walk to grocery , restaurants and Rim trail walking/biking trailhead. easy check in. and out ,

We came an hour early. Osyana, your worker let us in the room and told us about discrepancy in the time zone. We appreciate this gesture very much.

I think you need to change the shower curtain and put some shelves in the bathroom.

Red Rock 108 room was clean everything worked well. A ceiling fan in the room with the ac would have been nice, but AC worked well. Communication was good.

Mini fridge could have been colder but was turned to max.

It was clean with quaint, honey amenities.

The mattress was a soft spring mattress and created back problems for my husband. The bedspread had a huge spot on it and didn’t look clean. The air conditioner worked but was not in good repair so we couldn’t adjust fan speed to manage the volume. The noise it made kept us up all night. Some of the controls couldn’t be managed from either direct contact with the unit or with the remote. The remote had no batteries in it when we got there and the room was 64 degrees and freezing. We had to go to the “office” to get batteries. My husband was greeted with, “What’s the problem?”, and the employee was brusque and rude. There were already other people in the office requesting assistance and she was frustrated. The physical plant of the facility was OLD. That’s not a problem when there are signs that it’s being upgraded or modernized to compare with modern motel rooms. There were no floor coverings in the unit. The air conditioner was noisy and functioned poorly. I expected it may be an older property but that it would still be a pleasant stay because it was clean and nicely appointed, etc. It WAS clean and the kitchen appliances worked. But I would not return there again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.
