The owner, manager and staff are among the very best I have encountered around the world. Highly professional, consistently helpful, courteous and very personable. 24 hour front desk is terrific for late night flight arrivals. Very straightforward and convenient booking process for daily activities (e.g. Reef tour submarine, Luxor day trip and SCUBA diving) that includes "door to door" pick up and return. Simple, nutritious basic breakfast - great start to the morning. Water, coffee and tea and also available throughout the day. Overall, great people and great value for your money.

The neighborhood can be quite loud (e.g., calls to prayer, motorcycle traffic noise etc.) Note: Using Youtube "Soft White Noise" on my laptop via HDMI to the large screen TV helped a lot. Walking can be challenging: lots of traffic and various sites under construction with scattered debris. Occasional stray dogs, not aggressive but a bit of a nuisance.

The staff is very friendly and trying to be helpful although there is a language barrier. The location is loud but by Egyptian standards acceptable and close to both bus stations and many local areas.

Their bathrooms stink. I had to spray mine with vinegar before I could use it. Also I got a single room although I booked and paid for a double. (Yes I got offered a triple, but this room was dark, even more stinky and beside the elevator)
