Bed space was a bit small but not a major issue.

A great hostel, great location, only thing that could let it down is the stairwell, the walls could do with a bit of a freshen up, but fab hostel

1st appearance was too good but it was just stairwell paint work a bit grubby and dirty at the bottom, I think there should be toilets on the same wing as each of the dorms, I had to walk by the kitchen through the communal area to go to bathroom

The location is really good, as all the major attractions are within walking distance. There is also a tram stop relatively nearby, with a tram that takes you to the ferry terminal. The staff are friendly and welcoming, especially the girls and Christopher. The bathrooms and toilets are clean, and everything is cleaned regularly, which is definitely worth praising. The atmosphere is nice, and the people I met were pleasant and friendly.

The biggest problem is the showers! This is the first time in my life that I've stayed somewhere without a single shower with a handheld showerhead. All the showers are fixed, like the ones you find at the beach.😀 This means you have to get your hair wet every time you want to take a proper shower. It's not very convenient for women, especially those with long hair. I asked at reception whether anyone had ever complained about this, and they said no. 🤔 I find it hard to believe that nobody minds having to wet their hair every single day! So, make sure to bring a shower cap. The single room has a balcony door leading to a terrace that other guests access (or climb onto) through a bathroom window. It's really uncomfortable to wake up in the middle of the night and see a man standing on your terrace, smoking and looking at you strangely, as if you're the one who has wandered into the wrong place rather than him. It's also noisy, and if your room is next to the toilets and showers, you can't expect a good night's sleep. The walls are paper-thin, so you can hear everything, especially when someone decides to blow-dry their hair at midnight. The hostel could really use some renovation and modernisation, as it's quite old. The room is too dark. These things might not bother everyone, especially those who don't expect five-star luxury for a low price, but a basic level of comfort should still be provided.
