Wellness Santa Hotel - adults plus12

The breakfast was very good, a lot to choose from.

It was not what I expected from a 5 star hotel (e.g. cardboard coffee cups in the hotel room, swimpool towels with holes). Also, it had been more transparent to let the customer know which wellness facilities are included in the price for the hotel room. And if you book in low season, tell somebody beforehand that facilities are closed. Not afterwards, when you already booked your room (specifically for the wellness).

The property was close to the beach, very clean and tidy, and the facilities were well maintained. The breakfast was also good, and overall, we were satisfied with the property itself.

The blonde female receptionist was arrogant and showed no understanding or courtesy. We arrived at midnight, exhausted from our journey, and simply asked to check out at 12 p.m. instead of 11 a.m. She rudely warned us that we would be charged extra if we did not leave by 11:30 a.m. Rather than politely explaining the policy, she made us feel unwelcome. A little understanding and flexibility towards tired guests would have made a big difference to our stay.

Breakfast was fine with a good selection daily. There was plenty of choice. The fresh omelette service was verry good. The omelette chef was excellent. The coffee was good and no problem but they need to invest in some more teaspoons!

There was never any information about which bar or restaurant was open. The pool bar seemed to be open all day and did a good selection of food however the bar inside the hotel did not open at all so no place to sit and socialise in the evening. This might have been due to the time of year (September) Also the bridge restaurant only open for lunch the day before we left. This was disappointing as its a major feature of the hotel. The shower cubical in our suite left a bit to be desired and was the only thing wrong. I hope that as it was end of season this will be repaired or replaced

It was very clean and relaxing

It was clearly out of season and lots of facilities were being closed down for the winter. The beach wasn’t as available - sunbeds were removed and the wooden paths were being removed as well when we were trying to relax on the beach. I appreciate that the staff have to start planning the closure but it felt a bit unwelcoming when there were still guests trying to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
