Sudima Hotel Christchurch Airport

The hotel is very close to the airport, very convenient for the early flight.

Everything was fine.

Didn't have breakfast. Left too early.

Couldn't really fault anything.

Within easy walking distance to Woolworths (major grocery chain), The Coffee Club, Pharmacy, Subway, KFC and McDonald's - plus more. There is a covered walk way most of the way from the airport to the road across from (but to the left of) the hotel. Head to the left at the end of the covering - towards the telephone box if pulling luggage through the car-park. Heads up about NZ - Look right before walking across a road; don't expect a driver to be looking out for you. Take care to avoid traffic.

Inflexible cancellation policy; couldn't cancel and refund a single night of a two night stay. Even when given weeks of advanced notice. Can't contact them by phone-over-the-internet from the USA - no matter which (Sudima) number is tried. Had to use the Chat facility, and that was a bit spotty with respect to timeliness. We were told this was an upgraded room but there was nothing special about it. Light above the bed didn't work and there was no fancy K-cup coffee machine.

Handy location, very good reception and excellent restaurant meal.

Nothing comes to mind. First room allocation inappropriate for us (seniors, second floor, no lift) but this was promptly rectified to a much more seniors-friendly room.
