Indipendenza Boutique

According to the photos on booking, nice and clean, easy acces, nice view on the neighboring square

Weird smell in the common area, maybe related to the ozone cleaning they mentioned they had before the arrival, information about check-in was given only after arrival and calling them (3 different phone numbers on booking /email so it took a few while to find the right one, they didn't respond to the message sent via booking), not the end of the world but it would have been nice to have recieved the check-in info beforehand, gives a bit of peace of mind to know how to find your room and acces it before you arrive (entrance is into the inner staircase of the building with several possibilities so it's not obvious to find it unless you call them beforehand)

Proximity to the station and old town is convenient with plenty of little cafes around as well. Courtyard area when you do get in is also quite pretty and makes you feel quite secure. Room is spacious and bathroom facilities work well. Bed is very comfy with an espresso machine outside the room giving you the option for a quick pick me up for €1 - microwave also available for free here as well.

Actually getting into the room was a pain. The main reason for this was the host forgetting to send an ID request needed for access to the room. They'll also say ID/passport but ultimately do mean passports, as UK driving licenses aren't excepted as ID. View from the room is nothing special either and can be a little loud at night.

Good location to reach the center of Bologna. The room was excellent. The bathroom also. There was a terrace with place for smokers. The place was clean.

The check-in of this room is only between 14 - 17 p.m. I asked twice for late check-in but there was not response. We arrived in Bologna from Florence, and we had not enough time and didn't view some places in Florence because of this check-in window. Anyway, there was not staff and the procedure is self-check-in and self-check-out, which is comfortable.

Clean property and great location but not even a guesthouse more like a university hostel no tea and coffee provide the fridge is a budget wine fridge that’s not cold no kettle

Complicated checking in process the owner believed that it was because I had the wrong number listed however communication from every other booking.com comes via the messaging system … luggage transfer became a drama (40 mins between drop off and checkin time)when I asked if it we were paying the cleaner not a service then wasn’t available on the day of checkout ((a trade fair came up) the host became quite aggressive via messaging No facilities it’s 1 euro for coffee even and the light in the shower turns off quickly but stays on all night
