Hotel Brull by Beautique Hotels

Room - plenty of space, clean, neat, balcony with beautiful view of the Limburg hills. Very quite, shower was excellent. We had a dog and plenty of space for him to sleep as well.Also tea/coffee making facilities in room and complementary bottles of water. Breakfast was amazing, lots of fresh fruit to choose from (blueberries, strawberries, cranberries, mixed fruit bowl, fresh melon), selection of good muesli and cruelis, scrambled eggs with bacon and chives, fresh croissants, rolls, fresh cut bread. Dogs not allowed in main dining area but just next to it, tables with view of the patio garden, was perfect. The welcome at reception was really homely. The location in center of Mechelen is also great, nice village and great place to start hiking from. The hotel building itself on the outside looks amazing.

I like the bed. The bed is really comfortable. I can sleep well. The hotel has a comfy old feeling as well

My room was close to the lift, and the lift made a clear humming sounds from my room every time someone uses it. I think if someone has a sensitive hearing, they will be annoyed with it.

The rooms are simple (single bed) but clean. Dogs are welcome. The dining room is spacious and well presented. The village is very pretty and enjoyable for a walk with a number of choices of food & drink venues. This is a perfect base to walk, run or hike the Dutch Mountains, a beautiful location.

The staff was curt and not very welcoming; Staff seemed to have a hard time at being hosts. The rooms were smelly of former guests body odour. The interior decor was underwhelming. The impression was that the hotel was past its best for quite some time.
