Finca Barlovento Maloka, Tayrona

It felt like paradise ✨️ We had stunning view of the Caribbean sea on the right and an epic view of the river on the left, there were so many birds and they all wanted to talk at the same time, there were monitors and iguanas, raptors and monkeys, we could not believe our eyes. The food was wonderful, the staff was amazing, super helpful, and always with a smile, the room was huge, beds were comfy, I'd be a bit picky and say the only thing was the shower that needed some attention but that cause I like to complain, so to sum it up it is not a hotel or a resort, it is an adventure

The location is spectacular. The staff is very helpful. The accommodations are very nice. We choose a upgrade for our room with a wrap around view. I would highly recommend Barlovento to fellow travelers.

The staff wasn't able to provide good information about hiking in nearby Tayrona National Park.

The setting, the view, the landscape are spectacular. The food is great and great value. Equally excellent is the service and the flexibility of the staff. We had a great stay

I would only improve quality of the pillows, they are too hard. Also, the AC of the superior suite does not manage to cool down the temperature. We compensated with fans. Still, all in all small details that didn’t spoil at all the great experience

The view and the locality to national park

- brown stains on towels and bedding - hair dryer didn’t work - no ironing facilities - guest were very “yogi” and insular - staff didn’t really speak any language other than Spanish - room was very basic
