Very nice for breakfast

The buffet breakfast on the weekend was far better than the served breakfast on the Friday, which was also perfectly fine. The menu is okay but the steak was incredibly tough. The other meals were very nice and the chicken was sublime. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good staff. Very clean. Beautiful beds and bedding.

It feels a bit soul less like you are not in the bush. The misted glass doors bring in all the light from outside. There were too few sitting areas at the pool. The viewing deck could be a highlight but its an afterthought. Just old dusty and very worn patio chairs. Its a pity as there are resident hippos in the dam. My biggest disappointment is that this didn't feel like a lodge, it felt like a school tour venue. I think more effort should go into cultivating a bush feeling - most trees have been cleared on the property. There was no reason to be in the lodge except to eat and sleep.
