Hotel Oceanis

Excellent breakfast and superb view

It would have been really nice if there was an evening bar where we could have a drink & socialise after the 10pm return minibus. Quite a few of our fellow guests thought the same

We stayed at Hotel Oceanis for one night after arriving by ferry and had a lovely stay. The hotel was very clean, our room was comfortable with a beautiful view, and having a mini fridge with drinks was a lovely bonus after getting off the ferry. The receptionist was very friendly and recommended a fantastic place to eat. The hotel were incredibly helpful in collecting us from the port and taking us back early the next morning for our bus to Argostoli. The hotel is a little way up on the hillside, so walking from the port with luggage would be difficult. However, the hotel’s transport service made this very easy. If staying longer without a car, you would probably need to look into local transport or hire a car. We booked bed and breakfast but unfortunately had to leave at 6:50am for our bus, so we didn’t get the chance to try the breakfast. Overall, a lovely little hotel with friendly, helpful staff and beautiful views. We would definitely stay again, especially if we had a car.

Our only small niggle was that we would have liked an extra pillow each , as the ones provided were very soft and not supportive so I had to fold the room towels up to provide more lift. I also found the bed a little uncomfortable, although that’s personal preference and not a fault of the hotel.

The position of the hotel was very good, the concierge / manager was delightful and couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was amazing, there was so much variety and plentiful quanities of everything. The outdoor terrace dining with the spectacular harbour views was wonderful. The second night of our stay was in a comfortable modernised room with with a nice view. It was one of two rooms that we had actually booked for two nights. However unfortunately, for some reason when we arrived the rooms were not available for two nights.

We had booked two rooms at the hotel, one for ourselves and one for our other family members. When we arrived we were told that the rooms were unavailable. We were given an option of a family apartment at another location further down the road. This accommodation was far inferior. It was dated and badly in need of renovation. There were two bedrooms, one of which my husband and I shared it had a view of a wall of a dingy corridor, the rolling blind did not work, the beds were two very narrow single beds with hard uncomfortable mattresses, The shower had mould and was unpleasant. We would not have stayed had we a choice and had it not been so late, after 8pm when we arrived. PS The very helpful manager arranged for us to be given a partial refund for the first night of our stay.

Room for 3 of us was cramped, although studio room was fine
