June Six Hotel Berlin City West

The location was excellent, right next to public transportation and in a great, safe neighborhood where we felt comfortable walking around even at night. The staff were amazing - always friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They went out of their way to assist us with every request and made our stay even more enjoyable.

The mattresses were not very comfortable, and the pillows were too soft for our preference. However, there were several pillows provided, which helped. Another issue was the room cleaning. When we left the sign asking for the room to be cleaned, it seemed that the room itself had not actually been cleaned. Only the towels were replaced and additional toilet paper was provided. It is also worth keeping in mind that there is no refrigerator in the room.

Room was amazing, all amenities catered for, plenty storage, space for two people and bathroom was lovely. The bed was very comfy, and despite being next to the railway line wasn't too disruptive with the window closed. A hairdryer and coffee machine were lovely additions, and we had plenty of towels.

Our A/C was broken - we had planned to bring this up after arriving late on our first night but the temperature luckily dropped outside so we were more comfortable for the rest of our stay. We were also a bit surprised that our Do Not Disturb sign was ignored on our second day but appreciated the room being cleaned none the less.

Room was nice but affected by noise due to hotel proximity to S Bahn. Main disappointment was lack of kettle/coffee machine in room and/or convenirnt access to hot drinks 24/7. The details on Booking.com indicated that there was a kettle/coffee machine. This wasnt in the room but in reception, and it wasnt available in the morning until 11am as it was moved into the breakfast area (and then only available with paid for breakfast whereas we ate brunch down the street at Coffee Pony) . So no coffee or tea to wake up with. This wasnt clear from the booking details.
