A stunning property that feels like a Spanish paradore. It has a feeling of comfort, tranquility and escape from the chaotic world of Naples below. The hotel has been thoughtfully and sympathetically renovated so you really get a sense of its history. There are plenty of interesting artworks too. The toiletries, sheets and towels were excellent quality adding to the feeling of luxe. I loved the cloistered main atrium. The view from the terraces was spectacular.
The breakfast was a little bit lacking compared to some of the other hotels we stayed at. At breakfast the hotel feels a bit short staffed and there were often tables waiting to be cleared. There was a wedding on the seventh floor on one day which we didn't know about. It's disappointing that the pool closes before the end of September.

Great building, with great history. Clean and looked after by the staff. A few maintenance problems while we were there.

It has a great view- nice roof terraces and a pleasant pool
Some of the restaurant staff displayed a rather grand attitude - the restaurant served more or less nouvelle cuisine- small portions that don’t really suit people with hearty appetites! We had to beg for some extra potatoes! Subsequently though we found a traditional restaurant that wanted to feed us at almost a third of the cost- so a good result!
