It was in a very central part of Pompeii and just a short walk to the ruins entrance. The apartment was very clean and the host Marina was extremely helpful and friendly.

An incredible location less than 100 m from the main entrance to Pompeii. Across the road from the apartment is a wonderful combined gelateria/cafeteria/pasticceria.. where we drank the best coffee and tried to resist the amazing pastries and gelato . There are a few restaurants in the street below the apartment..our favourite was Bistrot..delicious seafood ! The apartment itself was very comfortable and spotlessly clean . The AC worked very well . The rooftop terrace was so relaxing ..we loved sitting there at sunset eating takeaway pizza and drinking wine But best of all was the bnb host Marina . She was so friendly and helpful . We are so glad we discovered that she also works as a guide at Pompeii . My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 3 hour private tour with Marina . I guess it is not surprising that after 15 years working as a guide her knowledge is incredible . Her vivid descriptions of life in ancient Pompeii really helped bring the ruins to life . Highly recommend!!

This is a great apartment. Everything is new, or at least well maintained, and very clean. Maria is a fount of information regarding the pompei ruins and places to eat. She even recommended eateries in our next stay, Sorrento. The apartment is perhaps 200 yards away from the easternmost entrance to the ruins (the less busy one, according to online sages I read). I heartily recommend Domus Acanfora.
