The apartment has an excellent location, within walking distance of anything you might need while visiting Amsterdam. The bed was comfy.
The downsides of the apartment were cleanliness and the appliances. I understand that this is "a room for tourists," but black mold on the bathroom curtain, dirt with mold in the corners, the shower door, which is broken, and it's hard to close it, 50% of the water in the shower is running away because of a missing rubber seal (can be replaced for about 0,50 EUR); lack of soap for hands in the bathroom or curtain in bedroom which can cover the whole window.

Close to transport & restaurants. The slat bench was very handy.
Only one seat at the table, not a big problem. Very steep narrow stairs, I'm aware this is very common in The Netherlands.

Perfect location right on the canal and near the metro. Comfortable room for one or two people visiting.
There is an odor of cat and urine in the hall/staircase not in the actual room.

The property is near the cafes, metro and tram.
Steps leading to front door and to first floor is very steep. Not good for tall people with large feet. I nearly had a fall there. I don’t feel very safe there. The room is quirky but has a damp smell in the room. No good view of Amstel river.
