Peniarth arms

The landlord and staff were very attentive and friendly. Ian even giving us a lift to town on one occasion and on the day we left offering to take us to the station if the taxi was late. Food was also good with a varied menu and fairy priced.

Our room was a little tired and in need of redecorating but having said that we think it was good value for money.

The staff were pleasant and very amenable to our needs. Breakfast was adequate for our need while evening meals were varied and satifying

Access to the accommodation was through an external staircase which was not mention when booking. There was no lift, again not mentioned, which presented problems for my wife who has mobility issues. The bed was not made up on any of the days that we stayed and only a cursory attempt was made in cleaning the bathroom area. The vanity unit in the bathroom looked very nice, it’s a pity that neither pair of lights built into the unit worked. Instruction of the use of the electric radiators in both the bedroom and bathroom would have been useful. One does not expect to have to crawl around the floor looking for electric sockets and associated plugs.

Breakfast was not booked but the evening meals were generally good

The wifi in the Bedrooms was not available in the last 24hrs, this could be that the support plug in the lower level had disappeared. It was annoying the the heated Towel rail in Room 2 does not work

It was clean and a convenient location

Interior is a like a b&m nightmare…so much cheap polyester if you’d lit a match the whole place would’ve gone up in flames in a second
