Royal Hill Hotel

The breakfast staff kind and accommodating, especially Gerald. Location was good based on our late evening arrival into the airport and wanting to get away from the airport for our first night. We had a rental car so the drive was a little tricky. We were able to get a midmorning departure to our final location on the Albanian Riviera the next day without going back to the airport to pick up a rental car.

The location late at night was a little tricky, although a Google maps directed us without too many wrong terms.

A very exquisite complex on a hill top at the entry in the city, somewhat remote from the noise of the highway, but yet displaying an excellent view to surrounding area. Very nice restaurant with terrace and cozy swimming pool with a nice bar.

A bit of ”class” missing, despite the hardware being there. For instance the vending machine for snacks in front of the reception desk is instantly downgrading the hotel from 5* (almost deserved) to 3*. Also starting breakfast from 8h00 is a bit late for the early birds that would be OK with only a coffee, for a start. A comment about location: If you come by car is ideal. Close to the city yet quiet and peaceful. Without a car you get the same benefits if you use taxi in and out of Tirana.

-Ac smelt really bad like it smelt of waste sewage it wasn’t just me it was my whole family who had booked majority of apartments in that hotel. -Requested for a baby bed never got one my baby ended up falling on the floor with a bruise - €15 euros to use the infinity pool even though we had our wedding + booked a lot of the rooms out. I had spent close to €50 euros just for me and the kids to use the pool which is ridiculous
