Shiroyamakan is a magical place. You feel it the moment you step inside, in the beauty of the surroundings, the warmth of the hosts, and the atmosphere. If I had to choose one experience I would not have missed during my 50 days travelling across Japan, it would be my stay here, especially the meals. The exquisite presentation and flavours made each meal an extraordinary experience: deeply moving and a delight for all the senses.

The family who runs this beautiful little four-room hotel is simply wonderful. They put so much love and care into every part of the experience — the stay, the food, the presentation, and, above all, making their guests feel truly at home. It is exceptional. Simply unbeatable! Thank you a million times for all the love, warmth and dedication you put into what you do. It has been a true pleasure and a privilege to meet you and to experience your beautiful home. Without a doubt, the best hotel we have stayed at during our 12 days in Japan. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We hope to come back very soon! ❤️

Fantastic house with incredibly welcoming family staff, spacious comfortable room with minimalistic design, and stellar dinner and breakfast experience. The father of the family also did a quick tour around the village, which was very appreciated. Overall, it was one of the best highlights of our Japan trip. Highly recommend!
