Epoca - Camere con stile

The location is fantastic - right in the middle of Ragusa Ibla, yet quiet. Having breakfast on the terrace is also a very nice touch. Our room (the suite) was spacious and we did not hear any noises throughout our stay. Also, the welcome from the host was very nice.

Overall, the experience felt a little more basic than we had hoped, especially considering the price. The antique furniture gives the property character, but it also has some practical disadvantages. In particular, the antique bed creaks and moves quite a lot with every turn, so when one person moves, the other is easily woken up. We also found that the hot water in the shower did not last very long before turning cold. During our five-night stay, the bed linen was not changed. The breakfast was also quite basic. We had been hoping for some fresh or locally prepared options, rather than what felt like a rather standard and limited offering. None of these things would necessarily be a major problem at a more modest price point. However, at around €200 per night, we expected a somewhat higher level of comfort and a more thoughtful breakfast. Overall, we had a pleasant stay thanks to the excellent location, cleanliness, spacious room, quiet surroundings and friendly host. However, given the current very high rating, our experience felt more like a good stay than an exceptional one.

Great location….wonderful old palazzo….many thanks to Costanza for giving us her parking spot….lovely breakfast on the terrace in this charming hilltop town….we even got to do a much needed laundry.

Absolutely loved staying here! Great location, excellent communication, easy check in (one of the owners even arranged for a taxi to pick me up from the station). The breakfast was lovely, the room was spacious and elegant. It was perfect!!
