Fairhaven Stay

Location lovely,easy check in, easy to find on the Main Street. Handy for restaurants and shops. Slept well despite being on the main road, loved the view of the river outside the front of the hotel. Partner said bed was too hard but I slept like a log! Tea and coffee etc and large bottle of water in the room. Clean bedding and towels. Regular Communications with the hosts were very precise , knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you.

I’m just being honest here, I would stay here again but I just feel these observations are justified from my experience in lots of hotels. And there are just a few things the owners could do to put right. Bathroom and bedroom a little dated and a bit dusty. Could have definitely done with a deeper clean. Splashes of unknown dried liquid (probably coffee) up the wall in the bedroom adjoining the bathroom. Thought the price was a little high because of the above reasons but it’s a tourist haven so it’s expected. However, it should be spotless. Never saw any staff, but told to come to the Indian restaurant 3 doors up if we needed anyone Shower cubicle was a bit narrow to move around and water pressure wasn’t great.

Clean and tidy. Really good communication from venue. Free WiFi and Freeview in the room along with tea, coffee, sugar and milk. Body wash included in bathroom. Very central for restaurants and bars.

Steps to guest house go directly on to the a main road with no pavement, beware people staying with little ones. Gap under the room door let light from the hall in all night and other guests were noisy entering and leaving (not owners fault)
