Le Pré de la Cure

The location is beautiful and we thought it worth paying the extra for the room with a lake view. The set menus for the evening meals were good value. They were Michelin rated and were of a high standard and beautifully presented. the breakfst was a good continental breakfast with the option of boiled eggs as well as yogurts and fruit and pastries. The terrace area was a very nice place to have a drink or meal and to admire the view. We went in mid September and this seems to be a good time to go as it was less crowded than mid summer school holidays The indodor swimming pool and hot tub were very good and every time I used them, I had the whole place to myself

We would have liked a kettle in the room but took our own, so not a problem. The leisure area is not staffed so could be a problem for people less confident in the water.

Le Pre de la Cure was at the end of a 78-day cycle adventure thru Switzerland, Austria and France and was the ideal place for us to stay for a relaxing time before we cycled to Geneva to fly home to Australia. We loved the location of the hotel in Yvoire, the cleanliness. the facilities offered (pool, spa, cycle storage and the rooms). And of course the friendliness of all of the staff and the manner in which they interacted with us. The restaurant had the best view over Yvoire and the lake and offered a super collection of menu options.

The location and facilities were excellent as was the free car parking. Friendly and efficient staff.

The location was nice and thats it.

The bed was too hard. The lady in reception was not nice, when we told that in our room description it says lake view but we didn’t had, her suggestion was ”then you can cancel your reservation” ( actually if we would done it, we could not have the money back ) she clearly has no problem-solving skills ;) the room was not also so clean, bed had some hair/eyelashes from other people.
