Very convenient location close to Asakusa shrine and its surroundings. The hotel staff was very accomondating, the room was quite comfortable. I was a bit lucky to get a reduced price for the hotel room! I looked for a long time for hotels with more Japanese-classic looking hotel room, so this one was an obvious choice!

I suppose it would've been nice if you could walk out on the balcony, but the glass door leading out to it was closed. Nothing major tbh.

Kaminarimon Ryokan is in the most convenient location, right next to Nakamise-dori. You can see all the action from your window. Their Japanese breakfast is so delicious and authentic and of the highest quality. Above all, the staff is truly kind and exceptional. It rained heavily on our last day in Asakusa on the 6th of September, and since Nakamise-dori is closed to vehicular traffic, we needed to wait on the main street for our Uber ride. The staff escorted us and helped us with our luggage, held umbrellas for us so we wouldn't get wet, and waited with us since it's a busy area with many taxis and checked the verification of our Uber driver. He even bowed to us as we were driving away. Try to book months in advance for the best choices in room accommodations.

We loved our stay! Our room was well appointed and very comfortable and clean. The view of the shrine gate and the Tokyo tower was a huge bonus. Amazing staff— helpful and hospitable. Perfect neighborhood for first timers.
