Amazing! Loved my stay here, facilities were clean, staff super friendly and made sure that you had a great stay. Highly recommend if youre looking for a traditional Japanese inn. Location is exceptional, short walk to the station, bars, restaurants and the pier
Having to ring the bell to open the door, not so much a con just felt bad staying out late and disturbing the staff.

This was a lovely ryokan run by a mother and daughter in a very central location in Hakodate. I loved the traditional Japanese-style rooms, the location, and the kindness and hospitality of the mother and daughter who run the place. I think you will not find another ryokan like this in central Hakodate!
You need the owners help to get in and out of the building. But this is not a big issue, they were always quick to assist.

Good location close to Hakodate station, nice staff, outlet close to bed.
Only one toilet and bathroom for all guests. Only one hand towel to dry hands with. Hair in the bathtub despite having to reserve the tub ahead of time. Spotty wifi that wouldn't connect to my device more often than not.
