We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Villa was clean and centrally located for day trips to Lucca, Florence and the coast. Out host, Elisa, was great and very responsive to questions and made several recommendations for local restaurants and other businesses. Elisa also helped us arrange a wonderful homemade dinner at the Villa cooked by a local couple. It was excellent and I would highly recommend this to future visitors. We were 8 adults touring Tuscany and what a fantastic place to stay. We had tons of room, the kitchen is a chef's dream, and the pool was wonderful.The host was great at communication, and helped up find a number of restaurants and wineries.Checkin was easy, and the Villa was exactly as presented in the listing. If you have a small or large group I give this 5 thumbs UP!!!

We had a wonderful family get together at Il Gobbo. The accommodation was perfect, lots of space and everything that you could need.Elisa was the perfect hostess, replying promptly to all our queries and organising a chef for a birthday dinner, nothing was too much trouble.The setting was fabulous with great views and some spectacular sunsets sat out on the verandah.

We were a group of 7 women touring Tuscany and spent a week at Il Gobbo and loved every minute of our stay. The villa was roomy, spotless, extremely well equipped both in the kitchen and bathrooms. The linens were plentiful and of good quality and the beds very comfortable. Our hosts were attentive to any of our wants or needs. Loretta was prompt with answering questions before our arrival, while her children Elisa and Mario were very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had once we were there. The fridge was stocked with their own prosecco and a pizza on our arrival and a bottle of Elisas delicious internationally recognized olive oil was available for us to sample. The family was very warm and gracious and we are so grateful to have met them. The weather was warm in early October so we enjoyed the pool area and the hot tub which were both well maintained. A car is necessary as it is a 15 min drive to Lucca, but the roads from the villa are beautiful for walking and exploring the village fairly close by. I highly recommend Il Gobbo and would love to return.
